Artas 9x Robotic Hair Transplant
ARTAS Artificial Intelligence algorithms represents a significant advancement in hair restoration.
The ARTAS® System for hair transplants was approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
ARTAS does 3-D mapping of the patient’s scalp and hair follicles. This determines the follicle angle
under the scalp and is able to do this by updating its positions during extraction 50 times per second, as
well as calculating and mapping the distance between each follicle that has been harvested to ensure that
the harvested area is not “over harvested”. This ensures the best possible result for the hair transplant
recipient. From the efficiency of the ARTAS System in extracting follicular unit grafts, to the quality of
the grafts, to patient safety, the benefits are many for the physician. The patient will receive a high quality
hair transplant with a less intensive time commitment, less local anesthesia needed to numb the area,
improved hair growth rates, and a better overall FUE hair transplant experience.

Drawback of Manual Hair Transplant
- Longer surgical time
- The technique is more laborious and requires much more skill from the surgeon
- The grafts are more fragile
- Grafts are more prone to damage during harvesting
- Greater difficulty in placing the grafts in the receptor orifices
- Increased risk of graft loss due to the time it takes to be implanted
- Easy transection of grafts in inexperienced hands
Advantages of ARTAS
